Privacy Policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

From Mile One is a private book for the people in it. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run things, and how you can see, download or delete your information. Quantum Arbor LLC makes From Mile One and is responsible for your information.

The short version: we collect what you put in and what we need to run the service. We don't sell it, we don't share it for advertising, we don't use ad trackers, and we don't use your books to train AI.

How it's shared

Inside a book, the people you invite see what the book lets them see. Guests only see what you choose to show them.

Outside a book, we only share information with companies that help us run the service, under contracts that limit them to doing that job:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale of the business, in which case this policy keeps applying to your information.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete something, it's gone from the app right away and from backups within 35 days. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and any book only you are in. Books you share stay with the other person, without your name attached to the account. We keep purchase records as long as tax law requires. When you order a printed copy, we keep the print file of your book for 90 days so we can reprint it if something goes wrong, then delete it.

Your choices and rights

Everyone, wherever you live, can:

Depending on where you live, including California, Washington, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states, you may have these rights by law, along with the right to appeal our answer. To appeal, reply to our answer with the word "Appeal" and we'll review it again within 45 days. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.

Security

Books are private by default. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access between books is enforced in the database itself, photos are served through links that expire, and you can add a PIN on each device. No system is perfect; if something ever goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you quickly and plainly.

Children

From Mile One is for adults 18 and older. If you believe someone under 18 made an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
